What is a site area concessionary scheme? Allow us to explain.

What is it?

If you’re a community group we will charge your premises as if the chargeable area was in the band of 100–199 square metres.

This concessionary scheme was introduced in 2010 following the publication of the Flood and Water Management Act and still continues today, so take advantage if you fit into one of these groups.

Is my group eligible?

Suitable premises for our site area concessionary scheme include:

  • Places of worship
  • Scouts and guides halls
  • Sea cadet units
  • Community amateur sports clubs
  • Village halls and community centres.

Customers accepted onto our concessionary scheme have their surface water and highways drainage charges capped at Band 3, equivalent to a site area of 100-199m2.

What you need to do

Want to apply? You can download the application form here. (PDF download).

Places of worship and scout and guide halls are automatically transferred onto our concessionary scheme and do not have to complete an application form.

If you have another type of group, please get in touch and we’ll let you know if you’re eligible for this concession and how to claim it.
