Chloramination: How does it affect me
Scottish Water are currently investing £30 million within the Water network supplying Galashiels, Selkirk and the surronding area to deliver improved treatment processes and a more resilient supply.
This work is taking place at the Howden Water Treatment Works which supplies towns and villages including Selkirk, Galashiels, Melrose, Lauder, Fountainhall and Newton St Boswells.
As part of this work Scottish Water are introducing chloramination which is a new water treatment for the whole area.
